Fixed wire testing in Oxford
Oxford's commercial estate is unusual: university colleges and departments in historic buildings, the Oxford Science Park, Begbroke and Harwell campuses with laboratories and technology companies, the large NHS estate around the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals, the BMW Mini plant and associated suppliers at Cowley, and offices and retail in the city centre and at Oxford Business Park. Across the county, Banbury, Bicester, Witney, Abingdon and Didcot each have their own industrial and distribution estates. We work extensively across all of these and attend as soon as possible, at a time that suits your operation.

About fixed wire testing and EICRs
Fixed wire testing, formally an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), is the periodic inspection and testing of a building's permanent wiring, distribution boards, protective devices, earthing and bonding. It is how duty holders demonstrate that an installation is being maintained safely under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and most insurers, landlords and accreditation schemes expect to see a current report. Observations are coded C1, C2, C3 or FI so that anything dangerous is dealt with first. For a full explanation of what the inspection involves, how often different buildings should be tested and what the codes mean, see our main Fixed Wire Testing service page.
