Fixed wire testing across Berkshire
Berkshire's M4 corridor is one of the most important technology and office locations in Europe, with headquarters campuses at Thames Valley Park, Green Park and Winnersh in Reading, Slough Trading Estate, Bracknell's Western Road and Arlington Square, and the data centre clusters around Slough and Bracknell. Windsor, Maidenhead, Newbury and Wokingham add retail, leisure and further office space, and the county has a large number of independent schools and colleges. We work extensively across all of these and attend as soon as possible, at a time that suits your operation. Reading has its own page.

Sites and sectors we test across Berkshire
Offices, technology campuses and data related premises are the core of our Berkshire work, often with critical supplies that must stay live, alongside Slough Trading Estate and other industrial areas, retail at the Oracle and Lexicon, schools and boarding schools, care homes, hospitality around Windsor and Ascot and the racing and leisure sites at Ascot and Newbury.

About fixed wire testing and EICRs
Fixed wire testing, formally an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), is the periodic inspection and testing of a building's permanent wiring, distribution boards, protective devices, earthing and bonding. It is how duty holders demonstrate that an installation is being maintained safely under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and most insurers, landlords and accreditation schemes expect to see a current report. Observations are coded C1, C2, C3 or FI so that anything dangerous is dealt with first. For a full explanation of what the inspection involves, how often different buildings should be tested and what the codes mean, see our main Fixed Wire Testing service page.
