Fixed wire testing in Nottingham
Nottingham has a large service and education economy alongside its industrial heritage. The city centre provides offices and Victoria Centre and Broadmarsh retail, the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University and the Queen's Medical Centre are among the biggest estates in the region, and business parks at Nottingham Business Park, Castle Meadow and the Enterprise Zone at Boots have specialised requirements. Manufacturing and distribution are concentrated at Colwick, Lenton, Beeston, Blenheim and along the M1 and A52 corridors. We work extensively across all of these and attend as soon as possible, at a time that suits your operation. For the wider region see our Midlands fixed wire testing page.

About fixed wire testing and EICRs
Fixed wire testing, formally an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), is the periodic inspection and testing of a building's permanent wiring, distribution boards, protective devices, earthing and bonding. It is how duty holders demonstrate that an installation is being maintained safely under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and most insurers, landlords and accreditation schemes expect to see a current report. Observations are coded C1, C2, C3 or FI so that anything dangerous is dealt with first. For a full explanation of what the inspection involves, how often different buildings should be tested and what the codes mean, see our main Fixed Wire Testing service page.
