Fixed wire testing across Derbyshire
Derbyshire is a county of advanced engineering. Derby itself hosts Rolls Royce at Sinfin, Toyota at Burnaston, the Alstom rail works at Litchurch Lane and Pride Park's offices, while Chesterfield, Alfreton, Ilkeston and Swadlincote add manufacturing, distribution and industrial estates along the M1 and A38. The University of Derby, the Royal Derby Hospital and the county's schools are large public estates, and the Peak District brings hospitality, quarrying and rural premises. We work extensively across all of these and attend as soon as possible, at a time that suits your operation. For the wider region see our Midlands fixed wire testing page.

About fixed wire testing and EICRs
Fixed wire testing, formally an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), is the periodic inspection and testing of a building's permanent wiring, distribution boards, protective devices, earthing and bonding. It is how duty holders demonstrate that an installation is being maintained safely under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and most insurers, landlords and accreditation schemes expect to see a current report. Observations are coded C1, C2, C3 or FI so that anything dangerous is dealt with first. For a full explanation of what the inspection involves, how often different buildings should be tested and what the codes mean, see our main Fixed Wire Testing service page.
