Fixed wire testing in Peterborough
Peterborough sits on the A1 and the East Coast main line and has grown into one of the largest distribution and light industrial centres in the east of England. Major employment areas include Fengate, Eastern Industry, Orton Southgate, Lynch Wood Business Park, Gateway Peterborough at Alwalton and the newer logistics parks along the A1(M). The city centre and Queensgate provide retail and office space, and Peterborough City Hospital and the wider public sector estate are significant. We work extensively across all of these and attend as soon as possible, at a time that suits your operation.

About fixed wire testing and EICRs
Fixed wire testing, formally an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), is the periodic inspection and testing of a building's permanent wiring, distribution boards, protective devices, earthing and bonding. It is how duty holders demonstrate that an installation is being maintained safely under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and most insurers, landlords and accreditation schemes expect to see a current report. Observations are coded C1, C2, C3 or FI so that anything dangerous is dealt with first. For a full explanation of what the inspection involves, how often different buildings should be tested and what the codes mean, see our main Fixed Wire Testing service page.
