Fixed wire testing across Surrey
Surrey is largely an office and service economy, with major business parks at Guildford, Woking, Leatherhead, Weybridge and Camberley, headquarters campuses along the M25 and A3, and busy town centres at Guildford, Kingston, Epsom, Redhill and Staines. The University of Surrey, Royal Surrey and East Surrey hospitals, and a very large number of independent and state schools add substantial public and education estates. Industrial activity is concentrated in Byfleet, Chessington, Redhill and along the M25. We work extensively across all of these and attend as soon as possible, at a time that suits your operation.

Sites and sectors we test across Surrey
Offices and business park units dominate our Surrey work, often in multi tenanted buildings where we report per landlord and tenant. We also test schools, colleges and boarding schools, care homes, retail, leisure and hospitality, healthcare premises and the warehouse and workshop units on the county's industrial estates. Period and listed buildings are common in the market towns.

About fixed wire testing and EICRs
Fixed wire testing, formally an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), is the periodic inspection and testing of a building's permanent wiring, distribution boards, protective devices, earthing and bonding. It is how duty holders demonstrate that an installation is being maintained safely under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and most insurers, landlords and accreditation schemes expect to see a current report. Observations are coded C1, C2, C3 or FI so that anything dangerous is dealt with first. For a full explanation of what the inspection involves, how often different buildings should be tested and what the codes mean, see our main Fixed Wire Testing service page.
