Fixed wire testing across Bedfordshire
Bedfordshire sits on the M1 and A1 between London and the Midlands, which has made Luton, Dunstable and Bedford busy logistics and manufacturing locations. London Luton Airport and the surrounding business parks, Prologis Park and the Houghton Regis estates, Bedford's Elstow and Wixams developments, Cranfield University and the Millbrook proving ground all bring specialised premises. The county also has large hospital, council and education estates in Bedford and Luton. We work extensively across all of these and attend as soon as possible, at a time that suits your operation.

About fixed wire testing and EICRs
Fixed wire testing, formally an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), is the periodic inspection and testing of a building's permanent wiring, distribution boards, protective devices, earthing and bonding. It is how duty holders demonstrate that an installation is being maintained safely under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, and most insurers, landlords and accreditation schemes expect to see a current report. Observations are coded C1, C2, C3 or FI so that anything dangerous is dealt with first. For a full explanation of what the inspection involves, how often different buildings should be tested and what the codes mean, see our main Fixed Wire Testing service page.
